Jury selection is scheduled to begin tomorrow (Tuesday) in the trial of a Cheyenne woman accused of killing her 16-month-old son.

Sabrina Sawicki pleaded not guilty in August to charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.

According to an affidavit, the baby was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center on April 24 and then flown to Children's Hospital Colorado where he was taken off life support on April 27.

An autopsy determined the boy died from "abusive head trauma" consistent with "shaken baby syndrome."

Sawicki is facing life in prison if convicted.
