A Casper man has been arrested for making a false accident report, among other things.

Twenty-four year old Joshua Fenton was arrested for false accident reporting, DUI, no insurance, hit and run and possession of a controlled substance, after wrecking his girlfriend's car.

According to Casper police, on Monday evening January 23rd, Fenton had contacted officers saying he was involved in a hit and run collision.

He told officers that another vehicle had cut him off and then stopped abruptly in front of him, resulting in the collision.

But when police followed the trail of engine fluids, leaking from his girlfriend's car, they discovered that he had struck a parked vehicle in a lot near the intersection of South Missouri and East 15th Street.

Officers also found several methadone hydrochloride pills located in Fenton's pockets.
