Police spokeswoman Alex Farkas says it all started around 12:30 a.m. when 25-year-old Cortaevius Williams got into an argument with 23-year-old Antonio Navarrete in the parking lot of a local bar and allegedly smashed the windshield on Navarrete's vehicle.

Farkas says Navarrete left the bar with a group of friends and returned home, and Williams left separately.

At about 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of a shooting at Navarette's home at 122 King Ct., and arrived to find Williams had been shot in the neck.

Williams was taken by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Farkas says following the disturbance at the bar, Williams had gone to Navarrete’s home to collect personal belongings.

While there, another disturbance ensued, resulting in Navarrete fatally shooting Williams with his Glock .40 caliber pistol.
