The Wyoming Whiskey Distillery was the very first legal distillery in Wyoming and has come a long way since the first batch of whiskey was released.

In 2023, the company shifted, and majority ownership is now owned by the Edrington Group, based out of Glasgow, Scotland.

Edrington brands have been setting the standards of quality for almost 160 years. Crafting the finest spirits takes time and an uncompromising approach to quality. We start early with the forests that are the sustainable source of the exceptional oak casks that mature our spirits. We apply the most exacting distilling standards. We mature our spirits with patience and care. We use creativity in presenting and marketing our products.

 

What does that mean for the company?

It means the whiskey is expected to have a significant impact nationally in 2024, thanks to the resources that come with the Edrington.

Every year, Gear Patrol puts out a list of brands with great potential, and they just released the 24 brands to watch, and Wyoming Whiskey squeaked into the top 24. David DeFazio, who co-founded the whiskey, told Gear Patrol

The significant change lies in the enhanced resources provided by Edrington, including expert whiskey-making know-how and expanded distribution.

This collaboration furthers our shared vision of crafting a whiskey that truly embodies the spirit of Wyoming.
