Listen Here:

Rap lyricist Loran from Casper and Beats composer Leandro from Portugal were together on stage at the Metro Coffee House this past weekend. Loran performed Live his Rap contributions to beats from Leandro who appeared live Via Skype Saturday night.   "Both of us entered the remix contest. He heard the mix that I did and contacted Vargo, Vargo contacted me.  We ended up getting together that way."

Loran says he was sceptical at first whether it would work but the two have continued to collaborate on music thanks to the latest in electronic technologies. On the stage Saturday night Loran explains to the audience his atypical approach to rap lyrics.  "Yah,  I rap, but its not the stereo typical ya, know, misogynistic, ya know, talking about women..."

The messages in Lorans music that night were generally positive reflections on his life.  In turn Saturday evening,  via Skype from his home in Portugal,  Leandro talked about his rhythmic contributions.  "Its like a rock beat,  but fast, very fast and its totally different than what you usually listen in the radio or tv or something like that.   And so, its all mixed up."

Leandro kept the audience laughing with an off beat sense of humor.   Another artist friend from Denver performed filling out the evening.   Loran says he and Leandro hope to complete a collection of tracks for sale by early next year under the Recording Artists name Transmute.
