Former Wyoming Bishop Faces Another Sex Abuse Suit

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Another lawsuit alleging sexual abuse has been filed against the former Roman Catholic bishop of Wyoming.

A Missouri man says Joseph Hart abused him when he was a child at St. Regis Church in Kansas City between 1975 and 76.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle (http://tinyurl.com/3uj6qet ) reported that the lawsuit was filed on Thursday in Jackson County, Missouri.

Five other people have previously accused Hart of sexual abuse. Their lawsuits were settled in 2008 as part of a $10 million involving allegations against a total of 12 clergy members.

The newspaper wasn't able to reach Hart or his lawyer for comment.

The chancellor of the Diocese of Cheyenne said it will cooperate with any investigation and that the diocese is praying for both the plaintiff and Hart, Wyoming's bishop for over 20 years.
