Former Casper Macy’s Employee Charged With Grand Larceny

Casper police have arrested an employee from Macy's in the Eastridge Mall for stealing money from the register.

According to a police affidavit, Amber Roberts took more than $1,500 from the registers this past weekend.

After a customer would leave she would void their transaction and then pocket the money.

When approached by the store's Loss Prevention Unit, she told them that she did it under threats from her boyfriend, if she didn't bring money home from work.

She also told police that she was told how to take the money by her boyfriend's brother's wife who had previously worked at Macy's.

Police have charged Roberts with Grand Larceny.
