Collision in Downtown Casper Sends One Person to Hospital [PHOTOS]

A near head-on collision sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred around 2:45 at the intersection of 1st and Ash in downtown Casper.

Casper/Fire-EMS spokesman, Bob Fawcett, was on scene..

We got on scene and found a head-on type collision at the corner of 1st and Ash Street. Had one injury that was transported to the hospital. No other injuries. Didn't have to extricate anybody out of the vehicles so we were able to open the doors and get them out."

Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Fawcett says its not clear what led to the two vehicles colliding. Casper Police are investigating.
