Several city-affiliated agencies are asking Natrona County residents to comment on the city of Casper’s upcoming branding initiative.

Casper city manager John Patterson says the first community forum will be held at a branding summit this Friday at downtown Casper's Iris Theater.

Patterson says an all-encompassing branding message and logo is needed to better communicate what the city has to offer to potential visitors and incoming businesses.

“In addition to our own image and identity that’s so essential for any community to possess, it’s also about economics,” Patterson said. “Typically, when you’re well-branded, you see the economy improve and commerce pick up.”

Branding initiative stakeholders include the city of Casper, the Casper Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Downtown Development Authority, the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce and the Natrona County government.

Patterson says four slots remain open to residents on the branding board. Those interested in applying for a branding board position should send a letter to city hall.

Patterson says the Friday summit will begin at 10:00 a.m. The Iris Theater is located at 230 W. Yellowstone Hwy.
