Cheyenne Woman Accused of Driving Drunk With Boy in Vehicle

A 38-year-old Cheyenne woman is behind bars after police say she was involved in a series of hit-and-runs.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says Robin Kelly was arrested Tuesday afternoon after crashing her vehicle into a retaining wall while drunk with a 10-year-old boy in the back seat.

Malatesta says officers determined Kelly was involved in two hit-and-runs in the area of E. 19th Street and Logan Avenue prior to the crash.

Fortunately, the boy -- who Malatesta says Kelly was "transporting as part of her job" -- was safely buckled up and no one was seriously injured in any of the crashes.

Kelly is scheduled to make her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court Friday at 1:30 p.m.

As of late Thursday afternoon, the Laramie County District Attorney's Office had yet to file charges in the case.
