Cheyenne Kitten Finds Forever Home After Wet & Wild Ride Through Car Wash
A Cheyenne kitten went for a wet and wild ride last Tuesday after getting stuck inside the wheel well of a minivan.
According to Cheyenne and Laramie County Animal Control Supervisor Officer Elizabeth Wagner, a Cheyenne woman had just gone through the Breeze Thru Car Wash at 2106 Dell Range Boulevard when she heard a kitten crying for help from her minivan and reported it.
"When Animal Control Officers Nguyen and Teasley responded to the scene, they safely removed the wet kitten from the minivan's wheel," Wagner said in a press release.
Wagner says the kitten, which did not belong to the woman, was taken to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter where she was examined and given a clean bill of health.
According to the shelter, the kitten, which was given the name Denali, was taken home last (Monday) night, less than 24 hours after she had been put up for adoption.
"Thanks to these officers and the kind citizens of Cheyenne, this kitten can have a second chance at one of its nine lives," said Wagner.
