The trial for a man accused of murdering his wife in Casper will be heading to a different venue.

Natrona County District Court Judge Catherine Wilking granted a defense motion Tuesday to move the trial of 46-year-old Thomas Miller to a new venue.

Miller was originally scheduled to go to trial in late October, however a person giving testimony at the beginning of the trial mentioned information in front of the jury that had been previously ruled as being inadmissible.

Wilking said in court on Tuesday that media coverage of the reason for the mistrial has potentially contaminated the jury pool in Natrona County and granted the motion for the trial to be moved elsewhere.

Miller faces charges of first-degree murder, in the shooting death of his wife Natalie Miller, as well as charges of aggravated assault and two counts of child endangerment.
