Casper native and Natrona County HighSchool alum Lauren Taubert continues to excel in her track and field career at Kansas State University with a win in the Heptathlon at the University of Arizona meet over the weekend. Taubert rang up 5669 points which is a personal best to take first out of 28 competitors. That 5669 mark is the 3rd highest collegiate mark in the nation this year and the 5th highest in Kansas State history. At Arizona, Taubert won the 200 meter dash and the 800 meter run with three 2nd place finishes in the high jump, the long jump and the 100 hurdles. She took 12th in the javelin and 17th in the shot put.
