A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing televisions from a Casper hotel and selling them on Facebook Marketplace.

Richard Ryan Webb was arrested and charged with felony possession of stolen property Thursday.

On Thursday, police were called to a Casper hotel after a manager reported several televisions had been stolen from the facility. Webb, who worked in hotel maintenance, was present in the office during the police investigation.

The manager pulled up a Facebook Market page and showed police several listings Webb had made regarding several televisions for sale. The manager said Webb had been making "quite a bit of money taking the hotel's televisions and selling them."

Televisions for sale on the Facebook page matched the description of those taken from the hotel.

The hotel manager told police that the televisions were taken from the rooms and placed into storage.

Webb's duties included keeping the hotel secure, so he was often the only employee at the property for extended periods.

The TVs were worth an estimated $2,300 total. When Webb was arrested for possession of stolen property, he told police he had lots of friends who work in lots of hotels.

He is expected to make an initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court at 2 p.m. Friday.
