Carol Palomo To Receive Mental Evaluation
A woman accused of trying to lure a child away from a Casper park has made another appearance in court.
A judge has ordered a mental evaluation for 45-year-old Carol Palomo, who is facing two counts of interference with custody and one count of interference with a peace officer.
Investigators say Palomo approached two children at Washington Park last week and tried to get them to come with her to the bowling alley and offered them candy.
Prosecutors say she grabbed one youngster by the arm and tried to walk away with the child.
When Palomo was arrested, the officer says she spat in his face and hair.
Palomo has objected to the mental evaluation and is being held on $25,000 bond awaiting trial.
She could receive up to two years in prison, if convicted.
