The Brush Creek Fire, which is about 40 miles southwest of Douglas, has grown to 470 acres, according to a news release from the Wyoming State Forestry Division on Tuesday.

There have been no closures or evacuations ordered for the fire.

It was discovered Sunday afternoon and is in rough terrain with scattered timber, grass and brush. The cause is under investigation.

Authorities have assigned more than 120 personnel including three fire crews, seven engines and a Type 3 helicopter. Additional resources are being ordered to fight the fire.

Isolated and scattered thunderstorms are forecast for Tuesday afternoon. Winds may gust up to 50 mph in the area of the fire.
