It was a rough 2 game road trip for the Casper Bobcat junior hockey team as they absorbed 2 big losses to the Northern Colorado Eagles over the weekend in Greeley. On Saturday, the Cats were defeated 7-3 as Northern Colorado had a 3-1 lead after one period of play and never looked back. Casper received goals from Denis Matic, Alex Roth and Kevin Richter but that wasn't nearly enough. It wasn't much better for the Bobcats on Sunday as they lost to Northern Colorado 8-1. The Eagles scored twice in the first period, 3 more in the 2nd and 3 more times in the 3rd. Daniel Silar scored Casper's lone goal as they dropped to 12-24-1 in Western States League play. The Cats will be in Steamboat, Colorado for a 2 game series Friday and Saturday.
