The dry conditions in the area have made it a tinderbox.

And at about 1:25 Saturday afternoon, that tinderbox caught fire. The blaze was on Old Glenrock Highway, just east of the city, closing the road for a time.

A helicopter arrived about 1:40 pm and started doing bucket drops of water.

By 2:30 pm the fire was essentially out, having burned roughly 200 acres. therre were some buildings on the property but no real damage, and no injuries known.

The cause is believed to be an automobile.
