The State High School Track & Field meet will begin on Thursday at Kelly Walsh with the KW boys team looking to repeat as state champions. The Trojans took 2nd in the 4A West regional meet in Jackson over the weekend with hurdler Caige McComb winning the 110 and the 300. The Natrona boys had a terrific regional meet with 188.5 points which earned then the top spot on the podium. Hunter Brown of the Mustangs won 3 events, the 200, the long jump and the triple jump. Chase Brachtenback of NC took first in the 100, with Brendon Gustafson winning the discus throw.

On the girls side in 4A, Kelly Walsh won the regional meet in Jackson and Natrona took 2nd. The Lady Trojans got a sweep in the throwing events from Maddison Dedic and a win in the 200 from Taylor Rowe. The Fillies took the podium in the pole vault thanks to Kayla Stibley.

In 2A, Tucker Bopp of Glenrock was a 2 event winner at their regional meet in Torrington with victories in the 100 and 400 meter dashes. In 1A,  Kaleb Smith of Midwest won 2 golds at their regional, also held in Torrington. Smith took the tape in the 300 hurdles and also won the triple jump. His teammate Kaden Best had the best  throw in the discus.
