One person has been arrested for not only serving alcohol illegally, but for possibly being an undocumented immigrant.

Twenty-six-year old Amandeep Singh, has pleaded not guilty to one charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor, and one charge of interfering with a peace officer, after failing an alcohol compliance check with police.

According to prosecutors, just before noon on Tuesday January 17th, two officers and an eighteen-year old undercover female, visited the Monsoon Indian Cuisine on East Second Street.

The undercover agent did not have any identification on her, yet ordered an alcoholic beverage.

Singh, who did not check for ID, eventually served the drink.

The agent was wired, and a short time later, officers informed Singh and the restaurant manager of the bust.

Singh then tried to flee but was caught in a back parking lot.

He is being held on fifteen-hundred dollars bond and is also being held by immigration.
