Citing "unprecedented change and transformation in the healthcare industry," the Wyoming Medical Center Board of Directors Wednesday announced a new strategic plan.

“Of particular importance to the Board is working to keep and grow access to high-quality care close to home,” board chair Jessica Oden said in a press release. “To move healthcare forward, the board will be considering the options and opportunities available to us to expand our ability to bring new resources and services into our community and our state.”

The board is considering affiliating with a "like-minded" organization to expand local access to high-quality services.

However, no specific decisions have been made.

According to an informational website, the vision includes advanced clinical coordination, improved business infrastructure and local customization.

Hospital officials aren't currently fielding media questions about the plan.
