Wyoming Federal Judges Sentence Three Men
Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced three men for methanphetamine and illegal alien crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.
Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Filiberto Santos-Escareno, 24, of Mexico for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Santos-Escareno was arrested in Casper. He received time served, plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Internal Revenue Service investigated the following two cases. Both defendants were arrested in Phoenix.
Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Jose Santos Yuriar, 31, of Phoenix for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and for money laundering. He received seven years three months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release.
Likewise, Skavdahl sentenced Brian Thomas Yuriar, 22, of Phoenix for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and for conspiracy to launder money. He received seven years three months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release.
Skavdahl also ordered them to pay $200 special assessments and $300 in restitution.
