Wyoming Federal Judges Sentence Five For Drug, Gun, Child Pornography Crimes
Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced five people for crimes including child pornography, drugs, firearms, and bank theft, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.
U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Michael Shane-Lourcey Clements, 25, of Casper for possession of child pornography. He received five years of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of probation, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $15,000 in restitution.
This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Sheila Kay Fundenberger, 44, of Gillette for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. She received five years of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $400 in restitution.
The DCI and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigated this case.
Freudenthal sentenced Daniel Thomas Poynor, 37, of Cheyenne for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine; carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime; and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He received 25 years of imprisonment, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $300 special assessment.
This case was investigated by the Cheyenne Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
She sentenced Jason Henry Garcia, 46, of West Valley City, Utah, for conspiracy to distribute heroin and methamphetamine. He received 10 years of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of probation, and was order to pay a $100 special assessment and $400 in restitution.
The Washakie County Sheriff’s Office and the DCI investigated this case.
Freudenthal also sentenced David Netterfield, 27, of Cheyenne for bank theft. He received three years of probation and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $59,000 in restitution.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
