Looking for something for the kids this summer? You might try Camp Wild at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp. The overnight camp experience, put on by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, is for students entering the 9th-10th grade for the 2019-2020 school year.

"Both the boys camp and the girls camp will focus on exploration of nature, introduction to conservation principles, practicing science, and learning new recreational outdoor activities while giving participants experiences to successfully navigate and positively interact with the outdoor environment. These camps, led by Wyoming Game & Fish Department staff, will allow participants to observe the natural world, engage in wildlife, fish, and habitat biology, and recreate responsibly in the outdoors."

Those coming to the camp will need to bring proper clothing and footwear for outdoor exploration, and a sleeping bag and other overnight gear. Meals will be provided for the duration of the camp, but you'll have to provide your own transportation to and from camp.

The Girls Conservation Camp is from July 16th-20th, the Boys Conservation Camp runs July 23rd-27th. The cost is $150.00 for five days and four nights, and the deadline to register is May 1st. There are some scholarships available.
