A massive winter storm arrived in Wyoming Monday, bringing heavy snow, strong winds and cold temperatures. Casper is under a Winter Storm Warning through Tuesday evening. That warning also covers the cities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Rock Springs, Gillette, Sheridan, Rawlins, Riverton and Lander.

Road crews have been out all night clearing the main roads, and drivers should use caution, especially at intersections and be aware of snow piles in the center of roads. Interstate 25 is closed between Cheyenne and Douglas, as well as from Casper to Kaycee. No unnecessary travel is advised on I-25 between Douglas and Casper. Strong winds are reducing visibility and causing slick roads.  You can get the latest road report at the Wyoming Department of Transportation Website.

The winter storm is also affecting air travel out of Casper. According to the Casper-Natrona County International Airport website, all scheduled arriving and departing flights for Tuesday morning had been cancelled.
