CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Much of Wyoming is under wind chill warnings and advisories as bitter cold envelops the state.

The National Weather Service says wind chills could hit 25 to 35 below zero in a large part of western and central Wyoming on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

Temperatures are expected to be 20 to 30 degrees below normal.

High temperatures on Wednesday will struggle to reach zero in many areas.

Wednesday night lows in the 10 to 20 below range will be common. Worland is looking at temperatures dipping to around 25 below.

Temperatures aren't expected to warm up again until this weekend.

Meantime, light snow has caused slick conditions on many roads and highways around the state.
