Vermont Man, Wanted Following Girlfriend’s Murder, Spotted in Wyoming
A man who is wanted by the Vermont State Police following his girlfriend's murder was seen in Wyoming on Sunday, and may still be in the area.
Randal Gebo, 61, is wanted for aggravated vehicle operation without owner consent, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of a credit card issued to another.
Vermont detectives got a warrant for Gebo's arrest after police found the body of 59-year-old Cindy Cook on June 12 in Middlesex, Vermont. Detectives were looking into the disappearance of Cook's Mini Cooper, and have since determined that Gebo is driving the car, according to a news release from the Vermont State Police.
Authorities believe Gebo used Cook's debit card at a bank in order to withdraw cash in Arkansas last week. On Saturday, Gebo was in the area of Perry, Oklahoma.
Investigators say Gebo was near Buffalo, Wyoming on Sunday.
The vehicle Gebo is believed to be driving is Cook's 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman -- a cream-colored station wagon with a black top and black stripes on the hood. The vehicle bears Vermont registration GBH823.
Anyone with information on Gebo's whereabouts can call the Wyoming Highway Patrol at 307-777-4301 or the Vermont State Police at 802-229-9191.
