Union Pacific Says 12-Car Cheyenne Derailment Being Investigated
A spokesman for the Union Pacific Railroad says no injuries were recorded, and nothing was released in a 12-car train derailment that happened near Tyrrell Chevrolet and Cheyenne Livestock and Resting along W. Lincolnway in Cheyenne on Monday evening.
Union Pacific spokesman Mike Jaixen told Townsquare Media on Tuesday morning that the train derailment happened around 5 p.m. on Monday, March 13. Jaixen reported that the incident remains under investigation by Union Pacific, and as of Tuesday morning, cleanup work was continuing.
