Two of three people arrested last month for charges ranging from child abuse to child endangerment, have been arrested again, for new unrelated charges.

Twenty-five year old Stephanie Shirts and 34-year old Jason Cathcart have each been charged with shoplifting.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say on Sunday, October 12th, Shirts and Cathcart were stopped by employees at the east side WalMart.

When questioned, they each admitted putting items into Shirt's purse and then walked out of the store once, and then were stopped the second time.

Shirts explained that Cathcart's ex-wife used to live with them, and she had locked them out of the house, so they went to WalMart to steal some items "so they could survive."

Shirts is facing a number of charges including aggravated child abuse, stemming from an unrelated case in September.

She is free on $100,000 bond, courtesy of a bail bondsman and is awaiting trial in that matter.

Cathcart is also facing a number of charges in that case, including child endangerment meth.
