Third Riverton Wrestler Charged in School Bus Hazing Attacks
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A third Riverton High School wrestler has been charged with unlawful contact in alleged hazing attacks on younger teammates earlier this year.
Natrona County prosecutors have now charged three teens with two misdemeanor counts each for what authorities say occurred on a school bus in January while the team was traveling for a wrestling meet.
According to court documents, the upperclassmen are accused of holding down younger teammates and using their fingers to anally penetrate them through their clothes. The students have been charged as adults.
Fremont County School District No. 25 expelled three wrestlers in early July for assaulting and sexually harassing teammates.
The attorney for the third student did not immediately respond to a phone message requesting comment.
