Welding equipment led to a small fire in a Casper apartment on Monday.

The smell of smoke wafted throughout North Casper on Friday evening, as firefighters with Casper Fire-EMS put out a trailer that was on fire.

While it turned out to be 'Much Ado About Nothing,' Casper Fire-EMS responded to reports of smoke at the east side Walgreens, located at 190 SE Wyoming Boulevard.

Current and retired Casper firefighters gathered at Fire Station 2, located at 3900 S. Coffman, on Wednesday to unveil and dedicate their newest fire engine, Engine 2.

According to the Casper Firefighters' social media, there was an abandoned wrecked vehicle on the side of the road.

Travis Stuart was recently promoted to Captain, and he is more than capable of picking up right where the former captain left off.

For Dane Andersen, an Engineer and the Public Information Officer with Casper Fire-EMS, the fire hit close to home.

The release stated that the cause and origin of the fire, as determined by the Natrona County Interagency Fire Investigation Taskforce, was fireworks.
