Summer Series At Casper’s David Street Station
Casper's Downtown gathering spot is gearing up for the season with the launch of the Summer Series at David Street Station, starting the beginning of June. There will be a variety of events every week through September, all of them free and open to the public. Here's what you need to know, with information provided by David Street Station:
Summer Concert Series:
June1st will kick off the Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Hilltop National Bank. Concerts will take place every other week on Friday nights, although they may occasionally be scheduled for Thursday nights due to conflicts. A variety of regional and national musicians will perform different genres of music, starting at 6:00 pm and "keeping you dancing well after sunset. Embrace warm summer nights as live music rings throughout Downtown Casper."
Lunch on The Lawn:
Lunch on the Lawn, sponsored by Casper College, will be on Mondays from June 4th through the end of August. Either brown-bag it from home or order some lunch to go from one of the downtown restaurants or food trucks and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while being entertained by local youth and student performers.
Food For Thought Summer Market:
Downtown Casper will host a wide variety of vendors selling their locally handmade, homemade and homegrown goods with the Wyoming Food For Thought Summer Market, sponsored by Wyoming Community Development Authority. You'll find fresh produce, dairy products, farm fresh eggs, local meats, baked goods, body care products, home goods, and more. The Summer Market starts June 5th and runs every Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm through September. If you'd like to register as a vendor, you can contact Wyoming Food For Thought at (307) 337-1703 or info@wyfftp.org.
Family Game Night:
Family Game Night starts June 13th and will run two Wednesdays a month from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm through September. The whole family is welcome to try out their favorite nostalgic regular and super-sized games to provide hours of interactive fun.
Cinema at The Station:
The movie series kicks off June 22nd as we show family movies outside at David Street Station every other week through August. There will be pre-movie fun including games, activities, and crafts. Movies will begin at dusk, and organizers suggest arriving early to claim your spot.
