UPDATE: BOISE, IDAHO (AP) — AUTHORITIES SAY FOUR PEOPLE HAVE DIED AFTER A SMALL PLANE CRASHED NEAR THE PALISADES RESERVOIR ALONG THE IDAHO-WYOMING BORDER YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. THE PLANE CRASHED JUST MINUTES AFTER TAKING OFF FROM AN AIRPORT IN ALPINE, WYOMING. THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

ORIGINAL STORY: K2 Radio News has learned from multiple sources that a small plane has apparently crashed just north of the airport in Alpine, Wyoming, which is near the Idaho border.

The Bonneville County Idaho Sheriff's Office is reporting that the plane is completely destroyed.

They aren't sure if the crash happened Saturday night or Sunday morning.

There is no word yet on how many were aboard, but one person is reported dead.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
