The plane crashed short of the runway at Billings Logan International Airport just after 7 p.m. Friday.

The victims have not been identified.

Pilot Kristine Ciesinski also died in the crash in June 2018.

The status of the pilot is not known.

The Airbus A320 appeared to attempt to try and land two or three times.

Their names and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released.

It says there is no indication that the plane was downed by hostile action.

Riordan declined to immediately comment further.

Coulson Aviation in the U.S. state of Oregon says one of its Lockheed large air tankers was lost.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the single-engine Cessna 182 crashed Saturday evening.
