The Casper Oilers American Legion baseball team ventured down to Fort Collins last week to play in the Rocky Mountain showcase. On Thursday, the Oilers lost to the Colorado Roughnecks 10-1 as they managed just 3 hits. Friday turned out to be a great day for Casper as they posted 2 big wins. It started out with a 12-1 victory over Fossil Ridge as Lane Fanto had 4 hits and 3 RBI's. Will Clair also went 4-4 in that game. Then the Oilers beat Monarch, Colorado 15-7 as Harrison Taubert drove in a whopping 7 runs. On Saturday, Casper nipped Windsor, Colorado 2-0 as Will Clair was sharp on the mound giving up 3 hits and striking out 8 in 7 innings of work. Casper's final game in the tournament was a 2-1 loss to Rocky Mountain as Corbin Kirk had 3 hits and pitcher Zander Mcfee struck out 7. The Oilers are 40-16-1 with the State AA tournament beginning on Friday in Gillette
