Oilers Legion Baseball Team Takes 2 in Gillette

The Casper Oilers American Legion baseball team took 2 out of 3 in the rain shortened Gillette tournament over the weekend. On Saturday, The Oilers defeated the Rapid City Expos 9-1 as Garrett Clausen went 3-3 and drove in 2 runs. Pitcher Daniel Roberts threw 6 innings and have up 1 run while striking out 5. On Sunday, The Oilers lost to Cheyenne 17-8 thanks to committing 8 errors. Corbin Kirk had 3 hits and Travis Wick drove in 2 runs. Casper wrapped up tournament play in Gillette with a 4-3 win over Jackson in extra innings. Brooks Browning went 1-4 with 2 RBI's. Pitcher Will Clair threw 5 innings and struck out a half a dozen. The Oilers are 12-6 on the year and will be in Cheyenne on Wednesday
