Oilers Drop Two to Gillette
The Casper Oilers American Legion baseball team dropped to doubleheader to Gillette on Friday, losing the opener 9-2 and the nightcap 10-6. In that first game, Casper managed just 4 hits with Brooks Browning going 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Gillette scored 6 times in the 2nd inning and never looked back. The Oilers blew a 4 run lead in the nightcap and lost to the Riders 10-6. Harrison Taubert, Corbin Kirk and Carter Young all drove in runs for Casper in that game as the they dropped to 10-5 on the year. The Oilers will be in the big Gillette wooden bat tournament Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
