The National Rifle Association – Political Victory Fund endorsed Matt Mead and his strong record of protecting Second Amendment Rights.

“It is with great pride that the NRA-PVF endorses Governor Matt Mead in his 2014 gubernatorial re-election bid. Throughout his career in public office, Governor Mead has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to protecting law-abiding gun owners’ Right to Keep and Bear Arms and Wyoming’s rich hunting heritage,” Dakota Moore, NRA State Liaison, said.

“I have defended Second Amendment rights all the way to the White House,” Matt Mead said. “In Wyoming we insist on recognition and respect for our Second Amendment rights.”

During his administration, Governor signed new laws allowing people to carry concealed weapons without a permit, to hunt with a suppressor and the bison hunting bill, which included money to defend the Second Amendment. Matt Mead is also a lifetime member of the NRA.

Under his leadership several companies manufacturing ammunition and firearms accessories have moved to Wyoming. HiViz, Maverick Ammunition and Magpul all cited Wyoming’s business climate and its support for the Second Amendment in choosing to relocate to the Cowboy State."
