Officials with the city of Casper and the Making Casper Brand Board are asking Natrona County residents to participate in an online survey that will be used to help shape Casper’s national brand.

“We’re asking citizens of Casper – and beyond, actually – to tell us what they love about the community and what causes concern,” John Patterson, the city manager of Casper, said on Tuesday. “We’re trying to develop a brand identity, and we’re trying to determine what’s our personality.”

Patterson says the newly-developed identity will better communicate what Casper has to offer to potential visitors and incoming businesses.

“It’s critical, really, because we need to identify to the world who we are,” Patterson said. “In marketing and promoting ourselves, we need to have a sense of who we are.”

Patterson says residents will have until Dec. 31 to fill out the survey.
