A Casper man now admits pointing a gun at his girl-friend.

Twenty-seven year old Nathanael Wood has pleaded guilty to one charge of aggravated assault.

Casper police say in late June, Wood was riding in his girlfriend’s car with her two children , when he pulled out a semi automatic handgun.

Investigators say he ordered her to drive him to the Robertson Road bridge.

The victim told police that at one point, Wood pointed the gun at her temple and told the children to look away.

Once at the bridge, wood got out, while the others drove away.

When interviewed by officers, Wood admitted having a drug problem and anger issues.

He also said he had been suicidal for some time and was thinking about pointing the gun at police so that they would shoot him.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a four-to-seven year prison sentence.
