A Casper man has been arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and other charges.

Twenty-eight year old Marco Buckley is facing one charge for being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of violation of a protection order.

Casper Police say just after 1am Monday, January 28th, officers responded to the home of Kenneth Toles, who said he had a protection order against Buckley, and that Buckley could be seen nearby.

Another person acquainted with both Toles and Buckley said she was at Toles's house.

Buckley was looking for his friend and found her at Toles's residence, and said he knew of the stalking order against him, but did not think he was violating it, since he stayed on the street and never went onto the property.

Buckley was arrested and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

When police inventoried the contents of Buckley's vehicle, they discovered a handgun.

Buckley has several prior felony convictions including aggravated robbery.
