Levi McInturff, Other Defendants Waive Preliminary Hearings
A man charged with shooting at a trailer to threaten someone east of Casper last week will have his case bound over to Natrona County District Court for trial.
Levi McInturff waived his preliminary hearing in Natrona County Circuit Court on Thursday, as did others.
Preliminary hearings are held to determine if a felony crime was committed and probable cause exists to show the accused committed it.
On Aug. 4, the owner of a camper on Sand Drift Circle told McInturff to leave her property.
He then allegedly raised a gun and fired one shot into a camper and hit a mirror. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years imprisonment on the aggravated assault charge, and up to five years in prison on the possession of deadly weapon with unlawful intent charge. He is in custody on a $25,000 bond.
Two other defendants who recently have been charged with felonies who appeared before Circuit Court Judge Brian Christensen also waived their preliminary hearings.
Kinion was charged with one count of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary. Conviction of each count carries a 10-year prison term. His bond was set at $5,000.
