A Laramie County commissioner who has been splitting her time between the county and a ranch in Goshen County will be able to keep her position.

Diane Humphrey recently bought her daughter's ranch in LaGrange after selling her Laramie County dairy farm to Casper developer W.N. McMurry. She purchased a mobile home in Cheyenne so she could maintain a residence in Laramie County.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle (http://bit.ly/rT6jxh) reported Tuesday that county attorney Mark Voss said Humphrey can remain in her job as long as he maintains her residency and voting registration in Laramie County.

Humphrey said she expects to spend about 75 percent of her time in Laramie County and 25 percent at the ranch.

Because of the sale of her ranch, she has abstained from commission votes involving McMurry.
