Keith Eli Moorhouse died February 13, 2013 at Central Wyoming Hospice with his very good friend John English by his side. Keith was born December 28, 1917 on the Highland Ranch homestead northwest of Cheyenne to Eli and Grace Moorhouse, which was the very first homestead west of Cheyenne.
He attended Cheyenne High School and graduated in 1936. Keith very proudly served in the US Army for three years, serving in the South Pacific during WWII.
Keith married Marie (Long) Emerson on November 21, 1954 in Kalispell, MT where they lived a short time and ended up making their home in Casper, WY. Most of his adult life Keith worked as a diesel and heavy duty mechanic and supervisor. If Keith was not working he enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling with Marie, his family and close friends. When Keith no longer could do these things he enjoyed nothing more than sharing the stories of doing these things with his friends and family, and taking rides to visit the outdoors and friends.
From previous marriages Keith has two daughters, Bonnie Rader (Colorado) and Connie Osborn (Oregon. Keith was very proud to call Marie’s children from a previous marriage his children, Kyla Reed, Tana Jennings and James Emerson.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and stepchildren Kyla, Tana and Jimmie Dean.
Keith is survived by his wife Marie, his daughter Bonnie (Richard) Rader and Connie Osborn, and his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as his close friends.
At his request Keith will have no services held. Instead there will be a celebration of his life by his friends and family gathering at the Parkway Plaza, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Please come and share your stories and memories of Keith.
