Three of America's best-known national parks _ Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Great Smoky Mountains _ closed their gates Tuesday as parks struggle to keep popular recreation areas open while heeding warnings from officials urging them to prevent spreading the coronavirus at congested sites.


A Montana woman has pleaded not guilty to charges she beat and tortured her 12-year-old grandson to death at their home.


The organization representing both tribes on the Wind River Indian Reservation has urged all tribal members to shelter in place to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
