Just before noon on Wednesday, January 29th, a call came into Casper Police regarding a bank robbery that had occurred at the Bank Of The West branch on Southeast Wyoming Boulevard.

A police spokes-person says a witness to the crime, followed James' and Lawrence's rental car and alerted officers of their where-abouts.

Eventually, police caught up to the two and the chase ended when they crashed in an alley-way near the intersection of 12th and McKinley.

Currently Thain and Lawrence have only been charged in connection to the Casper bank robbery.

They have been tentatively tied to other bank robberies in Rock Springs and Laramie, that occurred in the past 10 days, but have not been charged in those cases.

The federal bank robbery charge carries a maximum 20 year prison sentence, and the firearm charge carries a sentence of 5 years to life, if convicted.
