If you're traveling in Wyoming for the next couple of days, watch those high wind warnings. The more into Tuesday we get, the worse the wind gets. Then comes the snow and ice.

WYDOT is already posting warnings on its road condition website.

Winter travel in Wyoming is currently hazardous, with strong winds (up to 60 mph), heavy snow, and drifting snow causing road closures, particularly in the southeast. Travel is advised against in affected areas due to whiteout conditions and, at times, impassable roads. Always check WYDOT’s 511 system for real-time updates.

Another great resource is an app and website called WINDY. It allows you to watch what the wind is doing and what it is predicted to do.

Here is what Wyoming can expect over the next couple of days.

Jay Em, Wyoming, Frozen In Time

Jay Em, what an unusual name for a town. The few people who live there are proud of what their spot on earth once was, and they work to preserve it. They keep this little community frozen in time.
