Wyoming High School Outdoor Track Scoreboard: April 9-13, 2024
The outdoor track and field season for Wyoming High School teams reaches Week 5 in 2024. It is another busy week with nine track meets in the state. They range from Lander to Burns, Upton to Rawlins, Casper to Big Piney, Dayton to Powell and Laramie. A handful of teams are also competing out of the state. Friday will be the busiest day of action.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9:
LANDER TWILIGHT at Lander HS at 2 p.m. – Arapahoe Charter, Big Piney, Ft. Washakie, Lander, Riverton, Shoshoni, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Wyoming Indian.
Micah Strong of Big Piney won the 100 meters & 800 meters. Riverton's Victoria Gale won the 200-meter and long jump. Lander's Adelyn Anderson won both throwing events.
Lander's Reed McFadden won the 200-meter, 400-meter, and pole vault. Riverton's Nathan Mills swept the throws for the boys. Riverton's Zander Hinkley won both hurdle races.

NORTH SUMMIT BRAVES 2024 INVITE at Coalville, UT – Lyman.
Lyman was 2nd in the girls' division and 3rd in the boys' division. Xander Lyman won the boys' long jump at 20-1.50. Payton Anderson won the girls' discus at 104-00. Max Gregory won the boys' discus at 135-06.
FRIDAY, APRIL 12:
BURNS INVITE at Burns HS at 9 a.m. – Burns, Cheyenne South, Guernsey-Sunrise, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Pine Bluffs, Southeast, Torrington, Wheatland; out-of-state: Gering (NE), Leyton (Dalton, NE).
Girls: Torrington's Brooklyn Asmus won the 100 & 200 meters and helped her team win the 4x100 & 4x400 meter relays. Wheatland's Lily Nichols won the 400, 800, and long jump.
Boys: Wheatland's Tyler Bohnen won the 100 & 200 meters. South's Trey Downham won the 300 hurdles and high jump and helped his team win the 4x400.

Girls: Aspen Bloom of Newcastle won the 1600 & 3200 meters. Kaycee's Destiny Cleveland won the 200 meters & high jump. Upton's Sophie Louderback won the long & triple jump.

Girls: Davdine King of Thermopolis won the 100, 200, & 400 meters, plus was on the winning 1600 SMR. Makinzea Lynch won the 800 & 1600 meters. Kristie Jordan of Encampment won both throws.
Boys: Kael Anderson of Rock Springs won the 100 & 200 meters and helped RS win the 4x100. Jonas Slater of RS won the 110 hurdles & high jump. Quade Jordan from Encampment swept the throwing events.

Girls: Cami Costello of NC won the 200 & 400 meters and the triple jump. Lander's Paisley Hollingshead won the 100 hurdles & high jump.
Boys: KW's Caleb Ortberg won the 100 & 200 meters; Tanner Johnson of Douglas won the 800 & 1600 meters; NC won 3 of the 4 relays; Tegen Seeds of Douglas swept the throws.

Girls: Big Piney's Micah Strong won the 100, 200, & 400 meters, plus helped BP win the 4x800; Nicole Wilson from Green River won the 300 hurdles & high jump; Laynee Walker of Kemmerer won the 100 hurdles & pole vault; Kiara Worthing won the long jump & triple jump; Pinedale's Katy Dexter won the 2 throwing events.
Boys: Wyatt Trembly of Dubois won the 100 meters and 110 hurdles, & helped the Rams win the 4x100; Green River's Christopher Wilson won the 200 meters, the 300 hurdles, and the long jump.

Girls: TR's Jazlyn Ryan swept the 2 hurdle races; Sheridan's Alexa Miller won the 800 & 1600 meters.
Boys: TR's Caleb Kilbride won 4 events - 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, long jump & high jump; Big Horn's Gavin Stafford swept the 100 & 200 meters.

Cheyenne East won the girls' division with Central 3rd. Cheyenne Central won the boys' division with East second.
Girls: Kalyanna Flores of Central won the 100 & 400 meters; East's Taliah Morris won the 200 meters & long jump; Central's Emma Hofmeister won the 1600 meters; East's Nadia Burdett won the 100 hurdles & triple jump; East won the 4x100, 4x200, & 4x400 relays; Clara Kerschner of East won the shot put.
Boys: Tegan Krause of Central won the 100 & 200 meters; Cain Urdialles of Central won the 400 meters; Race Morrell won the 800; Trevor Schmidt won the 1600; East won the 4x100; Central won the 4x400 & 4x800; Nicholas Lewis of Central won the pole vault; Charlie Coles of Central won the triple jump;

The Star Valley girls finished 3rd, and the boys were 5th.
Girls: Kammi Merritt won the 300 hurdles; Valerie Jirak won the long jump at 19-9. Boys: Jase Burton & Habtamu Wetzel were 1-2 in the 1600 meters.
RAPID CITY TRACK-O-RAMA in Rapid City, SD – Campbell County, Thunder Basin

Girls: Powell's Waycee Harvey won the 200-meter & triple jump.
Boys: Riverton's Kaden Chatfield won the 800 & 1600 meters. Cody's Charlie Hulbert won the 400 & 3200 meters.

Boys: Laramie's Gideon Moore won the 800 & 1600 meters; Flynn Arnold of Laramie won the 200 & 400 meters; Laramie's Max Alexander the 110 hurdles & high jump;

Sheridan swept the team crowns. Girls scored 78 and boys scored 96. Buffalo finished 6th in the girls and 15th in the boys.
Girls: Buffalo's Carly Norman won the 2 hurdle races & the long jump; Sheridan's Lilly Charest won the pole vault; Buffalo's Sophie Berglund won the triple jump.
Boys: Sheridan's Chance Morris won the 200 meters; Sheridan's Landrum Wiley won the 1600 meters; Sheridan won the 4x100 & 4x400 relay;
CENTER OF THE NATION INVITE at Belle Fourche, SD – Hulett.
Izzy Fosheim was 3rd in the girls' triple jump; Christian Reilly took 3rd in both the boys' shot put and discus.
GRIZZ INVITATIONAL at Logan, UT – Cokeville, Jackson, Lyman, Mountain View.
Girls: Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 100 & 300 hurdles, plus the triple jump & tied for 2nd in the high jump; Mylie Micheli won the pole vault; Jackson's Rebecca Griebel won the long jump.
Boys: Lane Miller of Jackson won the pole vault.
TAYLORSVILLE INVITATIONAL at Taylorsville, UT – Evanston.
Girls = Evanston 9th; Boys = Evanston 6th.
Evanston swept the Sprint Medley Relays; Ayden Hartzell won the 400 meters.
