Do You Need More Than One Shovel For Wyoming Snow?
Ski resorts are opening, we've already had a couple good snows this fall and you're preparing for winter. The preparing part can be a tough one, because you never really know what the weather is going to do.
Forecasters have been all over the map when trying to determine how winter will be in Wyoming. One report says it's going to be snowy and cold, another says it's going to be mild and dry, then they flip-flop and it's going to be snowy and mild. What we do know is that if you're not ready for any of those scenarios you could be in for a rude awakening.
April of 2023 showed us that the weather can sometimes be unpredictable and a surprise to everyone. Record snow levels showed many of us that we aren't as ready as we thought when it came to snow removal.
Having the proper snow removal tools is really important, but how many tools do you really need?
Even if you do most of your snow removal with a plow or a snow blower, you're still going to need going to need tools, like snow shovels, to do the job right.
If you walk into a hardware store or do a quick google search, you may be a bit overwhelmed by the number of shovels, ice scrapers, snow blowers, ice melts, snow brooms, snow rakes, and blades that are out there to choose from.
Doing a little bit of research before just buying a shovel, will save time, money and your back. Not every shovel is right for every type of snow and/or ice removal job.
