School is back in session, and before you know it, the school year will be completed. Summer plans will go into effect and make the time pass quickly. Then, BOOM, school is starting already.

I know, we don't like to wish the time away, but it moves fast. I remember as a kid my grandparents telling me to enjoy life because, in the blink of an eye, you'll be old. That being said, if you're a parent of school-aged kids, you should already be thinking about the fall.

Natrona County School District offers the 'School Choice' program, which gives families the ability to choose the school that fits what their kid needs. You can learn more and do some research on the NCSD Family Guide and the NCSD Open House Schedule.

Between those two resources, you'll find information about each school in Natrona County and learn when you're able to visit the schools to see if the school offers everything your child needs.

School Choice Registration is open, but will close on January 16. So, if your kids will be new to the NCSD, starting kindergarten, moving from 5th to 6th grade, 8th to 9th grade, or switching schools at any level, you will need to complete the registration process.

To get rolling, you can head to the NCSD website, Natrona Schools.org, and enter your kid's information for the upcoming school year. The next step is to proceed with the School Choice Registration on the NCSD Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

The registration process isn't 'first-come, first-served,' so as long as you have it finished by Friday, January 16.
